This position is based in Duluth, GA, with a MONDAY TO FRIDAY schedule, paid holidays, and paid time off. The pay level depends on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.

Summary

The Wire Cutter is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling wire and cable cut orders, using material handling equipment and machinery, ensuring safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. May need to fill in for other warehouse roles.

Responsibilities

1. Promote a safety-focused culture, following SOPs and safety rules.
2. Perform daily machine checks and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Retrieve and cut wire accurately, inspect for conformance, and remove defective pieces.
4. Fill orders accurately, ensuring shipments are correct and undamaged.
5. Set up and operate wire cutting machinery, adjusting controls as needed.
6. Store merchandise properly and stage wire cuts for shipping.
7. Maintain quality standards in wire cuts for accuracy and productivity.
8. Report damages or safety concerns immediately.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. 1+ years of wire cutting experience preferred.
3. Warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
4. Forklift and warehouse equipment certifications are preferred.
5. If making deliveries: valid driver’s license, at least 21 years old, clean driving record, and legal medical certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of RF scanning devices preferred.
• Willingness to train on warehouse equipment.
• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.

Physical and Working Conditions

Work involves exposure to noise, heat, cold, electrical hazards, and potentially dangerous equipment. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and operating machinery.
