Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00 base + $2.00 Shift Differential = $22.00 per hour

Job Purpose

Line Operators run automated lines, monitor equipment during production, and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of experience, specifically with u-bolt and bent bolt processes, and are experienced in running wire rod raw materials into finished products.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Set up and operate lines according to production specifications
• Inspect equipment before and during production, ensuring proper functioning by checking process parameters and indicators
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure them with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Report production quantities accurately following company procedures
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify causes of errors, problems, and defects
• Perform basic machine maintenance and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to move raw materials and parts
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production manufacturing environment required
• Proficiency with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools required
• Exceptional attendance record required
• Experience operating metal stamping presses preferred
• Ability to perform standard shop calculations
• Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawings
• Basic maintenance skills for equipment
• Ability to understand and enforce safety procedures

Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, work well within a team environment, and adhere to safety standards.
