Job summary

Beech Mountain Resort in North Carolina is hiring Ski/Snowboard Rental Equipment Technicians to help guests through the rental process and ensure gear is adjusted to industry standards.

You will provide friendly service, assist in selecting equipment, process upgrades and payments, and use the rental software to check gear in and out.

Flexible full- and part-time hours are available; weekend and holiday shifts required; no prior ski or snowboard experience is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with computer systems and ability to operate a cash register.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Interest in snow sports; ski/snowboard experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and information to guests.
• Assist guests in selecting and properly adjusting rental equipment.
• Process upgrades and handle payments at the cashier.
• Instruct on proper use and ensure waivers are signed.
• Use rental software to check equipment in and out.
• Inspect gear for damage and safety before and after use.
• Notify Rental Manager of repair or replacement needs.
• Attend required trainings and certifications from binding and helmet manufacturers.
• Keep rental area clean and organized.
• Monitor guest flow and expedite the rental process.
