Job summary

Beech Mountain Resort is seeking Ski/Snowboard Rental Equipment Technicians to help guests select and adjust rental gear and guide them through the rental process. You will handle upgrades, payments, and safety waivers while maintaining equipment and the rental area.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills and a love for snow sports. Weekend, holiday, and peak period availability is required, with reliable transportation in winter conditions.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency and ability to operate a cash register.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Love for snow sports or an interest in learning.
• Ski or snowboard experience is not required.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and during peak periods.
• Reliable transportation required in snowy or winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and knowledgeable information to guests
• Assist guests in selecting appropriate rental equipment and ensure it is properly adjusted
• Offer rental upgrades and handle payment transactions through the cashier
• Provide instruction on the use of rental equipment and ensure all waivers are signed
• Use the computerized rental solutions system to check equipment in and out
• Inspect rental equipment for damage and safety before and after use
• Notify the Rental Manager of equipment needing repair or replacement
• Attend required training and complete certifications from binding and helmet manufacturers
• Maintain a clean and organized rental area and equipment
• Monitor guest flow and expedite the rental process
