Job summary

The Shop at Windham Mountain Club is seeking a Retail Service Technician for the winter season. This in-person, full-time role based in Windham, NY involves repairing and tuning ski and snowboard equipment using advanced mounting and tuning tools. Expect early mornings, weekends, and holiday shifts in a dynamic, indoor retail environment.

You will work with guests and staff to meet service needs, maintain shop gear, and ensure safety and accuracy in fittings and adjustments.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Hands-on experience mounting and tuning equipment.
Intermediate knowledge of ski and snowboard construction.
Customer service experience preferred.
Comfortable interacting with staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.
Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of servicing ski/snowboard equipment including mounting, adjustments, tuning, and boot fitting.
Proactively address all customer needs and questions.
Maintain all shop equipment and tools.
Operate POS system.
Operate ski/snowboard service tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to all safety precautions, including PPE usage.
Maintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and related information for guest communication.
