Job summary

Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN is seeking a Café Worker to join the Main Skyline Chalet team for the winter season. You will provide food and beverage service, greet guests, and ensure a positive guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and delivering orders, operating a POS system, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting guests with menu items. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with guests.
• Attention to detail and basic math skills for handling payments.
• Basic knowledge of electronic equipment such as a cash register, POS system, and card scanner.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume periods, especially weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Team player with a positive attitude and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the café following established guidelines.
• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly manner.
• Accurately prepare and deliver food and beverage orders.
• Operate the point of sale system to process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace, counters, food stations, and dish area.
• Prepare and handle food in accordance with MN Health and Food Codes.
• Cross-sell products and introduce guests to new menu items.
• Address and resolve guest concerns while providing information about Spirit Mountain’s amenities.
• Operate equipment such as dishwashers and cooking appliances as directed.
