Job summary

Spirit Mountain Recreation Area in Minnesota seeks Outdoor Operations Attendants to help run ski lifts and the tubing hill with safety and guest satisfaction at the forefront. You will engage guests, manage line flow with humor, perform basic maintenance checks, mentor new staff, and coordinate with other departments in a fast-paced, outdoor setting during the winter season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of lift operations experience or a strong interest in skiing or snowboarding.
• Ability to engage guests with humor and professionalism.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead by example.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Physical ability to perform duties in cold/snowy environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate ski lifts and tubing hill operations, ensuring safety and adherence to guidelines.
• Interact with guests during maze control and ticket scanning; keep guests engaged.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; shovel snow, prep landings, and maintain signage.
• Manage lift lines with humor; assist guests getting on/off lifts, including children.
• Monitor unauthorized lift usage and take appropriate action.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest inquiries promptly.
• Inspect lift equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Mentor and assist in training new Attendants.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.
• Take initiative during emergencies and demonstrate leadership in daily tasks.
