The State of Vermont’s Agency of Transportation (VTrans) in Wilmington, VT seeks an AOT Area Maintenance Supervisor II to lead a maintenance team and oversee roadway operations, including winter plowing and material treatments. The role emphasizes safety, training, and efficient movement of people and goods.

The incumbent must have strong leadership skills, CDL with air brake endorsement, and at least 5 years of highway maintenance or construction experience with supervisory duties.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent AND five (5) or more years of highway maintenance or construction experience INCLUDING BOTH two (2) or more years of supervisory experience or as a crew leader AND one (1) season or more of operating a snowplow with a wing.
• Two (2) years as a Transportation Operations Technician II or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team in maintenance operations of roadways within the district, including winter maintenance and plowing with winged snowplows.
• Enforce safety practices and train employees accordingly.
• Oversee maintenance on roads, bridges, culverts, and related properties.
