Job summary

Qualifications

• One (1) year of work experience in construction, equipment operation, or related manual labor, including either one season of operating a snowplow with wings or six (6) months of operating medium or heavy equipment such as graders, excavators, and backhoes.
• Upon successful completion of original probation as a Transportation Operations Technician I and possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Repairing guardrails, patching pavement, ditching, clearing brush, and picking up litter as part of highway maintenance.
• Seasonal staff support plowing and salting during winter weather events; overtime may be required.
