Job summary

Catamount Ski in Massachusetts provides on-snow support for alpine race events at the resort. The role involves installing fencing, prepping and maintaining the racecourse, and operating timing gear to ensure fair competition.

You'll secure race areas, manage access, and uphold safety standards for athletes and spectators, with shifts including evenings after school, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong technical skier background.
• Understanding of electronic timing systems.
• Ability to work with children and communicate via two-way radios.
• Experience and certification as an Alpine Official preferred.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Strong technical skier background.
• Understanding of electronic timing systems.
• Ability to work effectively and appropriately with and around children.
• Communicate clearly using 2 way radios.
• SSA Membership not required but a plus.
• Experience and certification as an Alpine Official preferred.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds while skiing.

• Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions.

Shift Requirements

• Frequent evening shifts for after school practices and races.
• Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.
• Availability for weekday afternoons/evening and weekends is a plus.

Age Requirements

• Applicants must be at least age 18.
