Job summary

The Stratton Winter Sports Club is seeking a part-time Seasonal Alpine Race Coach to lead and develop skiers in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Starting wage is $20.00/hour with increases based on certifications, and recruitment runs through December.

Responsibilities include executing in-season programming, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, and supervising training venues while maintaining safety standards. Regular evening, weekend, and holiday work is required during winter.

Qualifications

• US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership required.
• Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid certifications.
• CDC Heads Up Concussion certification.
• Additional industry certifications or endorsements preferred.
• Experience with US Ski & Snowboard/USASA rules and venue maintenance.

• Maintain guest and employee rapport and ensure satisfaction at the highest level.
• Prepare and supervise training and competition venues to ensure safety.
• Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff daily.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Stratton Winter Sports Club Alpine Race Coach position provides modern Alpine race coaching, feedback, and leadership for skiers with the goal helping SWSC athletes develop skills needed for ski racing in a fun , safe, and supportive environment. This is a part-time seasonal position. This position starts at $20.00/hour, with increases based on certifications.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Execute in-season programming plan put forth by SWSC managers
• Maintain excellent guest and employee rapport and ensure customer satisfaction remains at the highest level possible
• Prepare and supervise training and competition venues to ensure safety while athletes are training
• Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff daily
• Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership
• Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid and CDC Heads Up Concussion
• Additional industry certifications or endorsements would be strongly preferred
• Previous experience, knowledge, and understanding of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations, and venue maintenance required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Regular event travel may be required. Reimbursement is given for authorized travel expenses.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires work on evenings, weekends, and holidays during the winter season.
