Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking a dynamic Project Engineering Intern to support project teams on assigned jobsites. This role provides mentorship under the Project Manager and Superintendent and offers exposure to estimating, accounting, and coordination tasks.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, possess basic math and computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC), and communicate clearly with customers, subcontractors, and team members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects.
• Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra).
• Computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc).
• Ability to perform all work in a timely, professional, and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting with customers, clients, subcontractors, and other third parties.
• Ability to present information in a clear and understandable manner in both written and verbal form.
• Working towards a bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent through experience

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects.
• Gather and distribute information.
• Opportunity to gain experience coordinating project activities with direct supervision from the Project/Operations Manager, performing accounting activities with assistance, performing estimating functions as requested with assistance and other duties.
