Job summary

Kewaunee County is hiring Winter Park Assistants for the 2026–2027 winter season. Positions are part-time and temporary, with a $16.00/hour wage. Responsibilities include daily park operations, visitor assistance, and basic first aid readiness.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license; weekend, weekday, and evening availability is preferred. Prior first aid experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Basic First Aid experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to operate county-owned equipment safely.
• Must be physically capable of handling the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Open the park buildings and get them operational for the day.
• Activate park equipment.
• Monitor activities at the facility.
• Provide assistance to visitors as needed, including basic First Aid.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Keep facilities clean.
• Empty garbage cans at the end of the day and as needed throughout the day.
• Keep public restrooms clean and stocked with supplies.
• Coordinate assignments with volunteer staff.
• Communicate well with management, co-workers and general public on a daily basis.
