Job summary

Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, ID is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for the winter season. You will plow, grade, and maintain roads and parking lots using graders, backhoes, loaders and snow blowers; shifts depend on weather.

A CDL is preferred and you must pass a DOT medical and drug screen. This seasonal role offers either full-time or part-time hours, with housing options and benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year heavy machinery experience.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass DOT medical and drug screen.
• English reading, writing and communication adequate.

Responsibilities

• Operate graders, backhoes, front-end loaders and snow blowers.
• May operate sand trucks if qualified (CDL and clean driving record).
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain Schweitzer roads and parking lots per contracts.
• Log activities using a two-way radio.
• Adhere to safety requirements and wear high-visibility gear.
• Other duties as assigned.
