Crystal Mountain in Washington is seeking a Part-Time Freeride Coach to train and mentor young athletes in big mountain, all-mountain, and competition-focused freeride skiing and snowboarding. The role emphasizes skill development, safety, and fostering a positive team culture.

Weekend availability is required to support events and programs. The ideal candidate brings strong skiing and coaching skills, plus the ability to guide athletes of varying ages and abilities.

Qualifications

• Strong skiing/snowboarding skills on all terrain and in all conditions.
• Proven coaching skills with the ability to lead groups across levels.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and lift heavy gear when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coach Crystal Mountain Freeride Programs and substitute as needed.
• Lead freestyle/freeride lessons and mentor athletes.
• Implement long-term athlete development and retention strategies.
• Ensure safety, schedule adherence, and effective training environments.
• Collaborate with Freeride Manager and teams for program quality.
