H2ajobs is seeking a Winter Farm Maintenance Worker to service farm vehicles, equipment, and irrigation systems. Responsibilities include inventory, maintenance, and winterization of gear, as well as ordering replacement parts and repairing fencing.

Applicants should have at least 2 months of experience, be 18+, and able to obtain a US driver's license within two weeks of starting. Weekend work possible; housing and meals provided by the employer.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing strenuous farm maintenance tasks.
• Available for the entire period and willing to work across all areas of intended employment.
• Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone; random drug/alcohol testing may occur; background check possible.

Duties may include: Take inventory on tools and equipment and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Order and pick up replacement parts for farm vehicles and equipment. Clean and winterize farm vehicles, implements, hand tools and mechanical equipment. Remove drip tape and winterize drip irrigation system. Repair and winterize fencing. Remove stalks and roots from previously harvested plants & other related Winter Farm Maintenance Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections.All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the pl... Experience wanted: 2 months

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 80lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.
