Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers for farm duties in Pawnee, IL. Duties include delivering and installing field drain tile, reclaiming grain, loading trucks and delivering to market. You will clean and repair farm buildings and fences, assist in harvest sorting and post-harvest treatments per SOC 45-2092.

Weekend/holiday work is possible. Housing and meals are provided; transportation to town is available. Must be 18+ with 3 months experience; wage may exceed minimum for experienced workers.

Job description

Duties may include: Deliver and install field drain tile. Update and store harvest equipment. Reclaim grain from temporary storage, load into trucks and deliver to market. Clean and repair farm buildings, fences and other structures. Participate in the inspection sorting, storage and post harvest treatment of crops & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections.All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the ... Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.
