Job summary

Greece Central School District is seeking a Band/Arts Coordinator to oversee the GMB program during the marching season. Availability Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, plus Saturdays from November through March, is required.

You will coordinate rehearsals and performances, assist with show design and sectional instruction, and report to the GMB Program Coordinator and Parent Boosters. A background in field band or drum & bugle corps and teacher certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in field band and/or drum & bugle corps.
• Ability to design and implement show design.
• Ability to manage overall program and delegate tasks.
• Working knowledge of marching arts and leading sectional instruction.
• Experience with middle/high school students.
• Team player, articulate with band/parents/community.
• Highly organized and task-oriented.
• Committed to sustaining program caliber.

Responsibilities

• Availability on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, as well as all day Saturday from November through March.
• Attending and facilitating evening rehearsals.
• Coordinating, facilitating and attending all Saturday rehearsals and performances.
• Providing information to the GMB Program Coordinator regarding payroll, facilities planning, and transportation.
• Serving as the GMB district representative to the Parent Boosters and attending meetings as needed.
• $5,400 stipend as per GTA contract.
• Stipend may be adjusted if availability changes between November and March.
