Job summary

UHY International is seeking an Audit Intern in New York’s Hudson area to gain hands-on experience in audit and assurance. You will work with experienced professionals on real client engagements, supporting accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

The role emphasizes training, communication within the team, and exposure to audit software while you learn the firm’s standards and procedures. This is a temporary internship under six months.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with audit teams to perform data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Assist in conducting substantive and control testing.
• Support maintenance of audit files and documentation per firm standards.
• Assist in preparation of workpapers and audit reports.
• Compile financial data and transactions for audit analysis.
• Participate in basic analytical procedures to identify trends and potential issues.
