Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking Winter Athletic Coaches for the 2025-2026 year at Bulkeley High School in Hartford. Responsibilities include planning, evaluating and coordinating winter sports programs to help students improve skills and self-esteem.

Must hold CT Coaching Permit, Bachelor’s in education, and current First Aid/CPR. Concussion and Mandated Reporter trainings required; experience in urban school settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• Current CT Coaching Permit and First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Concussion training and mandated reporter training must be completed.
• Experience coaching in urban school settings preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop winter athletic programs with planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate practices and schedule contests with athletics supervisor.
• Ensure safety, equipment control and proper paperwork.
• Promote discipline, sportsmanship and student self-esteem.
