Job summary

Killington Pico Ski Resort Partners LLC is seeking ticket checkers to join the largest lift operations team in the East. You will spend your shift outdoors on the mountain, ensuring every skier or snowboarder has a valid day ticket or season pass before boarding a lift.

This seasonal, hourly position requires standing, exposure to all weather conditions, and the ability to work with guests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to read and identify lift tickets and assist guests.

Responsibilities

• Group guests to keep lift lines moving efficiently.
• Answer guest questions about Killington & Pico's layout, products, services, and conditions.
• Identify fraudulent or counterfeit credentials.
• Explain safety procedures and rules for riding lifts.
• Handle upset guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain lift maze area and assist with RFID scanners troubleshooting.

Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.Job Summary:Become a member of the largest lift operations team in the East and work where you play! Ticket checkers are on-snow ticket specialists who spend their day outside on the mountain and ensure that every skier or snowboarder has a valid day ticket or season pass before boarding a lift. On busy days, ticket checkers are also responsible for grouping people together to keep lift lines moving efficiently.This position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces, and requires standing for the majority of the scheduled shift.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Responsible for grouping people together to keep lift lines moving efficientlyAnswer guest questions by becoming familiar with Killington & Pico's layout, products, services, and current conditions or referring them to someone who canIdentify fraudulent or counterfeit credentialsCommunicate safety procedures and rules for riding the lifts to the guests as necessaryHandle upset guests in a friendly and courteous mannerMaintain lift maze area, including shoveling and raking as necessaryAbility to learn RFID technology upon training and assist with troubleshoot issues with scannersBasic Qualifications:Must be at least 16 years of agePrior customer service experience preferredBasic knowledge of the ski industry preferredAbility to tolerate standing in the cold for extended periods of timeMust be able to read and identify lift tickets, while remaining alert at all times for skiers and snowboarders arriving at load areaRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:A friendly, outgoing personality!Excellent customer service and communication skillsLove of working with people and in the outdoorsAbility to handle a busy, fast paced environment with a smileIt is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity and employment to all staff and applicants.
