Job summary

Vail Resorts in Gorham, ME invites applicants for seasonal roles on the Lift Experience Team and other mountain positions for winter 2026/2027. You’ll greet guests by name, validate tickets, and support lift operations with a friendly, safety-focused approach.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with full-time and part-time hours available. Roles offer benefits like training, employee discounts, and a supportive team atmosphere, with emphasis on guest service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium guest service by providing information and assistance with a smile
• Validate tickets to ensure guests have a valid product before loading lifts
• Work with Lift Operators and other teams to ensure lift lines are safely managed and lifts are loaded efficiently
• Maintain and secure departmental equipment (scan devices, radios, etc.)
• Escalate issues to leadership as they arise (safety and product-related)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

A Ticket Checker team member is flexible and may train to work across multiple departments and roles, including Lift Operations (18+), Mountain Activities, Retail Rentals, Food and Beverage Support, Ticket Sales, and Base Area Operation.

The pay range is $20.00/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
