Job summary

Killington Pico Ski Resort in Killington, VT is seeking a barback to support bartenders in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. You will ensure the bar is clean, stocked, and running smoothly, enabling bartenders to serve customers efficiently.

The role emphasizes assisting with setup/breakdown, restocking, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Must be 21+, able to stand long hours, and lift 50 lbs; prior bar/restaurant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. consistently.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with bar set up and break down.
• Refill ice wells.
• Switch out kegs.
• Keep bar stocked with liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, etc.
• Anticipate bartender needs and restock items before they are out.
• Ensure glassware and bartending tools are clean and in the proper place.
• Ensure cleanliness- take out trash, mop spills, wipe down surfaces, etc.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The barback works closely with bartenders and ensures that they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
