Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Curriculum Development Specialist to design a Winnebago cultural curriculum for K-12 in Educare Winnebago. You will gather resources, coordinate with community experts, and ensure alignment with Nebraska standards, delivering a culturally sustaining program.

The role requires collaboration, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to create a comprehensive resource guide for teachers.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to obtain an associate degree or have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in education preferably in curriculum development.
• Must have good work habits.
• Have had experience with developing Native American specific curriculum.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong organizational, detail, and interpersonal skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the development of the Winnebago Cultural Curriculum with partners knowledgeable in Winnebago culture and traditions.
• Ensure all lesson plans meet requirements and align with Nebraska State Standards.
• Track progress and report to TED regularly.
• Develop an outline of curriculum for Educare Winnebago for each age group.
