Job summary

Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s Educare Winnebago seeks a Teacher Aide to support developmentally appropriate education for children in Head Start/Early Head Start settings. The position is full-time, non-exempt, located in the Educare building in Winnebago, NE, with a 9:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule and starting wage of $15.00 per hour.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, pursue a CDA within the first year, and complete required trainings; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work a 9:00am - 5:00pm shift.
• Must obtain a CDA within one year of hire.
• Must attend all department training and meetings as directed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values.
• Interact with children safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment.
• Assist in planning developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provide opportunities for children to develop positive self-images.
