Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• General cellar work tasks including moving hoses and equipment, lifting up to 80 pounds in parts of the job.
• Filter operation involving lifting bags and operating valves on hard floors.
• Drum filling and labeling with manual handling of drums weighing up to 440 pounds when full.
• Evaporator operation with variable standing time and possible sitting for part of the day.
• Tank sluicing requiring entry into tanks and hose handling at high pressure.
• Dump and fill operations with barrels and hoses, pallet positioning.
• Loading empty barrels using forklifts and hand loading for transport.
• Sampling of brandy from barrels with tool use.
• Forklift operator/checker duties including stacking pallets and re-arranging barrels.
