Michael David Winery in Lodi, CA seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department for 200+ employees across multiple locations. You will develop and implement HR strategies to support employees, culture, and business goals while ensuring compliance with California laws.

The role covers benefits administration, recruitment, performance management, compliance, and policy development, with the aim of partnering with leadership to foster a positive workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of Human Resources experience.
• Minimum three years administering comprehensive employee benefit programs.
• Strong knowledge of California employment laws, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, FEHA.
• Wage and hour compliance, Workers’ Compensation, leave administration.
• Benefits administration, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA privacy requirements.
• Experience with Open Enrollment planning and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day‑to‑day Human Resources operations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations and performance management.
• Administer and oversee all employee benefit programs.
• Partner with insurance brokers to evaluate plan performance and resolve issues.
• Manage all leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations and Workers’ Comp.
• Develop and update HR policies, employee handbook provisions and procedures.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
• Oversee performance review programs and compensation planning; participate in salary benchmarking.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and investigations.
