Job summary

Hess Persson Estates in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Human Resources Manager who has a passion for HR and enjoys leading cross-functional projects. You will provide recruiting, engagement, and administrative support to the HR department while partnering with leadership to improve processes and service to employees.

The ideal candidate will drive external recruitment, onboarding and talent planning, and support benefits administration, payroll backup, safety, and office operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources related roles or a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, team‑oriented.
  • Attention to detail with pride in work and commitment to continual personal and professional growth.
  • Outstanding organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and interest in the wine industry.
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Director to manage an effective intake process and provide superior service to employees through efficient and clear communication.
  • Be visible and focused on external recruitment, balancing short‑term and long‑term talent planning, onboarding, and processing.
  • Champion recruitment of nonexempt personnel and support the HR Director with exempt personnel recruitment management.
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives and events that add value to the employee experience and the HPE community.
  • Act as a safety champion: participate on the safety committee, maintain safety reporting protocols, and serve as safety captain for the admin building.
  • Lead worker’s compensation processes, maintain records, process claims, and communicate with the carrier and employees.
  • Serve as backup for bi‑weekly payroll processing.
  • Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, reconciling monthly benefit invoices, ensuring timely payment, and communicating benefits information.
  • Lead office management administrative tasks including supply orders, calendar management, and employee site‑specific communications.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive pay rate ($90,000–$110,000).
  • Annual bonus and merit increase programs.
