Hy-Vee is seeking a Wine and Spirits Assistant Department Manager to support the Department Manager in presenting fresh, innovative products at a competitive price.

You’ll supervise the team, manage inventory, maintain the sales floor, and step in as the department leader when the manager is away.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Supervise evening and part-time crew and train new employees.
• Stock, rotate, and face products on shelves and review back stock.
• Order merchandise and control inventory.
• Meet with vendors to obtain point-of-purchase materials.
• Oversee price tagging and display signage.
• Handle and resolve customer issues with care and professionalism.
• Assume management duties in the absence of the Department Manager.
