Job Summary

Job Title: Wine and Spirits Cashier

Reports To: Wine and Spirits Department Manager

The role involves maintaining outstanding customer service by working closely with all Wine and Spirits associates to ensure company policies and procedures are followed, department goals are met, and associates’ needs are addressed. Associates will personalize guest experiences with expertise on Wine & Spirits products, including wine pairings and craft beers, guiding guests to the perfect selections.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet department standards in the Wine and Spirits department.
  • Monitor sales floor and back stock conditions; take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Communicate and cooperate with vendors, managers, and associates to exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist guests in finding items.
  • Be aware of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Process transactions accurately and maintain cash/media at registers.
  • Handle special orders and requests.
  • Answer phones professionally.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns.
  • Maintain an orderly register area and supplies.
  • Support and execute superior customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications
  • Contribute to cleanliness of the department.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understand safety requirements and policies.
  • Knowledge of equipment and safety procedures.
  • Must be over 18 years old.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
  • Have manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures.
Work Schedule

May include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
