Job summary

Wine Industry Expo is seeking an organized Accounting Assistant to support AP/AR, invoicing, tax reporting, and month-end close in a wine industry environment.

You will handle vendor invoices, reconciliations, license records, and compliance tasks while protecting confidential financial data. This role requires strong Excel and QuickBooks Desktop skills in a non-remote office setting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related accounting experience or training preferred.
• Experience in the wine/alcohol industry preferred.
• Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
• QuickBooks Desktop proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invoicing across various sales channels, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Prepare and file sales tax and CRV reporting.
• Maintain and update accounting records and assist with entries related to AP, AR, bank deposits, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and inventory reporting.
• Assist with vendor invoice processing, including reviewing invoices and ensuring proper coding.
• Process employee travel and expense requests and credit card receipts.
• Monitor grape weighmaster certificates and grower case activity for contracts.
• Prepare accounting reports and maintain liquor license records.
