Job summary

St. Francis Winery and Vineyards in Sonoma Valley seeks a part-time Wine Educator to deliver elevated tasting experiences and authentic storytelling.

This hourly, non-exempt role includes Saturdays, Sundays, and some evenings, with pay ranging from $21.00 to $42.00 per hour, plus tips, bonuses, and commission on wine sales. Base wages, tips, and a 5% commission structure create strong earning potential for weekend hospitality professionals.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in high-end hospitality, wine, or sales environments.
• Demonstrates a true “hospitality heart.”
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to work weekends and occasional evenings.
• Passionate about sustainability and delivering luxury-level service.
• Able to use modern tools to enhance guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Host guests in tasting formats (tasting bar, seated indoor/outdoor, pairing experiences, tours).
• Deliver personalized, memorable experiences and build long-term brand loyalty.
• Promote wine club memberships, exclusive releases, and wine purchases to meet goals.
• Meet and exceed daily/monthly sales targets while fostering guest/community engagement.
• Educate guests on St. Francis Winery & Vineyards history, philosophy, and Sonoma County appellations.
