Job summary

Inns of Aurora is seeking an enthusiastic server for our casual dining setting. You will greet guests, take orders, describe wines, verify age for alcohol, and coordinate with kitchen and bartenders to ensure a seamless dining experience.

The role requires excellent verbal communication, the ability to multi-task, and a neat, professional appearance. Training for TIPS certification will be provided; full-time positions offer medical and dental benefits plus 401K and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining area and server stations before each shift.
• Greet and introduce oneself to guests in designated sections.
• Describe and recommend wines and specialty beverages to guests.
• Check identification for guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholic drinks.
• Receive food and beverage orders at assigned tables and assist guests as needed.
• Expedite food from kitchen to guest tables and deliver to bartender when needed.
• Present checks and collect payments accurately.
• Allocate tips to all support staff per IOA guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of service area and complete end-of-shift duties.
