Job summary

Long Branch High School is seeking a Band Assistant - Winds (Fall) for the 2026-2027 year. The role supports the Band Director by preparing and instructing students in winds and assisting with performances.

The position reports to the Building Principal and requires a valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate, with the Board able to consider suitable alternatives. The stipend is annual and tied to the LBSEA contract.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate required.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rehearsals, concerts, parades, and competitions.
• Provide small group or sectional instruction to strengthen winds performance.
• Support the Director in organizing music, instruments, and equipment.
• Help supervise students at rehearsals, performances, and trips.

Education

Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate
