Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Windows Engineer to design, build, and support extensive Windows Server environments at scale. You will automate tasks with PowerShell and implement enterprise tooling such as ECM or AWS Systems Manager for a large Windows fleet.

The role requires 5+ years in Windows server environments, Linux and networking know-how, and strong scripting abilities. On-call rotation and travel up to 10% are expected as part of a global support effort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments.
• 5+ years deploying, managing, and supporting large-scale Windows Server environments (500+ servers).
• Experience with Linux and networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support large Windows Server environments.
• Implement and manage ECM or AWS Systems Manager for a large Windows fleet.
• Develop and automate tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
• Diagnose hardware issues and perform system building tasks.
• Operate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support global customers.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
