Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Windows Endpoint Automation Engineer to scale automation across the Windows fleet. You will modernize deployment workflows using Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot, focusing on repeatability, safety, and scale.

You will build PowerShell frameworks for configuration, drift detection, and remediation, while codifying endpoint standards and security baselines aligned with enterprise needs. This role emphasizes automation-first, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Eight years related work experience preferred; strong Windows engineering background.
• Proven automation experience across Windows endpoints and deployments.
• Experience with Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Autopilot highly desirable.
• Strong problem solving, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead endpoint automation for provisioning, compliance, remediation, and standard configuration across the Windows fleet.
• Engineer and modernize deployment workflows with Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot for repeatability and scale.
• Build PowerShell frameworks for device configuration, drift detection, and self-healing remediation.
• Define and evolve Windows endpoint standards with OS baselines and security baselines.
• Improve validation practices for patches, feature updates, and policy changes.
• Implement and expand CI/CD for endpoint engineering content using Git-based workflows.
• Integrate with Entra ID for secure provisioning and device compliance patterns.
• Reduce toil and improve observability through automated runbooks and telemetry.
• Collaborate across Workplace Engineering to standardize patterns and share automation.
