Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Windows Endpoint Automation Engineer in Wayne, PA. This role focuses on automating the Windows endpoint estate, standardizing engineering practices, and improving release validation across Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot. Hybrid work is expected, with onsite presence on set days.

The ideal candidate brings strong Windows platform engineering experience, practical automation skills, and a passion for reliability and scalable deployments in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of related work experience in Windows endpoint engineering or platform engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to document standards and enable others across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead endpoint automation for provisioning, compliance, remediation, and standard configuration across the Windows fleet.
• Engineer and modernize deployment workflows with Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot for repeatability and scale.
• Build PowerShell-based frameworks and tooling for device configuration, drift detection, and self-healing remediation.
• Define and evolve Windows endpoint standards including OS baselines and security baselines.
• Collaborate with QA and release governance to improve validation for patches and feature updates.
• Implement and expand CI/CD practices for endpoint content using Git-based workflows and promotion patterns.
• Integrate with Microsoft Entra ID to support secure provisioning and device compliance.
• Automate routine work, codify runbooks, and improve observability and troubleshooting signals.
• Collaborate across Workplace Engineering to standardize patterns and share automation approaches.
