Job summary

Hayward Lumber in Pacific Grove, CA is seeking a Window and Door Specialist to support the sales team with expert product knowledge, assist walk-in customers, and coordinate orders and quotes. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and a seamless customer experience.

The role requires prior window and door sales or related experience, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in window and door sales or related role in building materials preferred.
• Strong knowledge of window and door products, materials, energy ratings and installation best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging customers and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to quotes, orders and inquiries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic sales environment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to window and door specs.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team by preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating with vendors.
• Assist walk-in customers with knowledgeable product recommendations and options.
• Proactively manage quotes and order pipelines in BisTrack.
• Develop relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners to provide tailored solutions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and building codes to educate customers.
• Maintain an organized showroom with effective product displays.
• Collaborate with outside sales reps to support project specifications and inquiries.
• Resolve customer concerns regarding product selection or order fulfillment promptly.
• Participate in training and company meetings to stay updated on products and policies.
