Job summary

Windows and Doors By Brownell in Williston, VT is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair window and door performance issues, inspect products, and replace components as needed. You will communicate findings to customers and complete service documentation accurately.

Starting pay is $27.00 per hour based on experience. This full-time position offers ESOP ownership, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational carpentry training preferred.
• 1+ years of window and door installation, carpentry, remodeling, construction, service, or a related trade.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical jobsite work.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair window and door performance issues.
• Inspect products and identify root causes of service concerns.
• Replace components, hardware, weatherstripping, glass, and related materials as needed.
• Perform adjustments and basic finish carpentry repairs.
• Distinguish between product-related and installation-related issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and repair procedures.
• Complete service documentation and jobsite photos accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work closely with the Lead Service Technician and Service Manager to deliver outstanding customer service.
