Job summary

Blinds & Designs Inc is seeking a skilled Window Covering Installer in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role covers installation of blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery, precise measurement, and testing motorized systems.

You will communicate professionally with clients, designers, and contractors, maintain organized work areas, and ensure safety and high-quality workmanship. Employment or independent contractor arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of one year of window covering installation experience.
Motorized shade installation and programming experience is a plus.
Familiarity with brands such as Hunter Douglas, Mecho, Somfy, or similar manufacturers is preferred.
Ability to read a tape measure and use standard installation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Professional appearance and customer-service skills.
Ability to lift and carry window coverings, ladders, and equipment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and other window covering products
Accurately measure and prepare installation areas
Troubleshoot installation and product-related issues
Program and test motorized window covering systems
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate professionally with customers, designers, contractors, and team members
Safely transport and handle products, tools, ladders, and installation equipment
Complete installation documentation and report any product damage or job‑site concerns
