Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA, seeks a Winder to wind and connect complex stators and rotors and perform potting/insulation tasks. The role includes reading specs, coordinating with supervision, and ensuring quality and safety while supporting DoD projects.

Applicants must be US citizens, able to obtain a security clearance, and hold a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with relevant coursework. A sign-on bonus is offered and benefits accompany this challenging role.

Qualifications

  • Five years of design or manufacturing experience required.
  • U.S. citizenship due to DoD requirements and ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent and relevant coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate winding operations for complex stators and rotors.
  • Review job instructions, dimensions, tools and procedures at the workstation.
  • Perform winding layout, assembly of coils and potting/insulation processes.
  • Conduct final connections and braze terminal studs and bus bars as required.
  • Operate and troubleshoot winding equipment; maintain QA records and safety standards.
