Hitachi Energy USA INC in Alamo, TN is seeking a Winder Helper for the 2nd shift to support the OIP Bushing area. This role offers hands-on training alongside experienced Winders to learn the winding process.

You will assist with materials, tools, equipment, and production needs, read assembly drawings, and follow customer specifications with guidance. This apprentice-style path aims to develop skills toward a future Winder role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to learn assembly drawings, measuring devices, and winding processes through structured training.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist Winder Operators by preparing materials, tools, equipment, and work areas to keep the winding process moving smoothly.
• Learn the condenser bushing winding process through apprentice-style training with experienced Winders.
• Support winding activities using winding machines, overhead cranes, lifting devices, hand tools, winding templates, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications with guidance from trained team members.
• Communicate equipment, material, quality, or process concerns to the Winder Operator, supervisor, maintenance, engineering, or quality team as needed.
• Participate in continuous training to build skills toward a future Winder role.
• Work safely within a team environment and follow all safety, quality, and production requirements.
