Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking Winder Helpers to support the OIP Bushing area. This role offers hands-on training to learn winding processes alongside experienced Winders, assisting with materials, tools and production needs while building skills to progress into a Winder role.

You will read drawings, follow instructions, and work with measuring devices and wind­ing templates. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous learning in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing exp. preferred.
• Ability to learn assembly drawings, measuring devices, and winding processes through structured training.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, detail, and teamwork.
• Interest in developing skills toward a future Winder role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Winder Operators by preparing materials, tools, and work areas to keep winding process moving.
• Learn the condenser bushing winding process through apprentice-style training with Winders.
• Support winding activities using winding machines, cranes, lifting devices, hand tools, and measuring devices.
• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications with guidance.
• Communicate equipment, material, quality, or process concerns to the team as needed.
