Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking Winder Helpers to support the OIP Bushing area. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the winding process through hands‑on training while working side by side with experienced Winders.

Winder Helpers will support the winding process by assisting with materials, tools, equipment, and production needs while building the skills needed to progress into a Winder role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn assembly drawings, measuring devices, and winding processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools, equipment, and work areas to support the winding process.
• Learn condenser bushing winding through apprentice-style training with experienced Winders.
• Support winding activities using winding machines, cranes, hand tools, templates, and measuring devices.
• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications with guidance.
• Communicate equipment, material, quality, or process concerns to the Winder Operator and team as needed.
• Participate in continuous training to build skills toward a future Winder role.
• Work safely within a team and follow all safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Stand/walk up to 12 hours per day and lift up to 35 pounds.
