Job summary

The University of Alabama in Huntsville seeks a Windchill System Administrator to support the Army and the UAH RENEGADE Team.

Responsibilities include Windchill system administration, security and compliance management, and mentoring junior staff on STIGs and DoD requirements.

The role requires a Master’s degree with 84+ months of full-time experience and hands-on Windchill (PDMLink), LDAP, SQL, and Java/JVM tuning; DoD 8570/8140 readiness and Security+ certification within 90 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 84+ months (7+ years) of full-time work experience.
• 3+ years experience with Windchill PDMLink (v11.x–13.x) installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Specialized experience managing Apache HTTP Server on Windows.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server administration, including maintenance, performance tuning, and SQL scripting.
• Experience integrating Windchill with LDAP (OpenLDAP, OUD, etc.) and tuning Java/JVM Method Server settings.
• Direct experience applying DISA STIGs to Windows Server, Apache, MS SQL Server, and Windchill application layers.
• Proficiency using SCAP Compliance Checker and STIG Viewer for vulnerability remediation.
• Candidates must possess a current Security+ certification or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment to meet DoD 8570/8140 requirements.

• Provide Windchill system administration support to the Army and the UAH RENEGADE Team
• Provide security and compliance management to the Windchill system team
• Mentor more junior level staff regarding system admin and STIG compliance
