University of Alabama in Huntsville is seeking a Windchill System Administrator to support the Army and the UAH RENEGADE Team. The role focuses on system administration, security, and compliance across Windchill environments.

The ideal candidate brings 3.5+ years PDMLink experience, Windows-based Apache/STIG expertise, and strong MS SQL Server skills, with DoD 8570 ready credentials or the ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or professional equivalent with 18-21 months (1.5-1.75 years) of full-time work experience.
• 3.5+ years experience with Windchill PDMLink (v11.x–13.x) installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Specialized experience managing Apache HTTP Server on Windows.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server administration, including maintenance, performance tuning, and SQL scripting.
• Experience integrating Windchill with LDAP (OpenLDAP, OUD, etc.) and tuning Java/JVM Method Server settings.
• Direct experience applying DISA STIGs to Windows Server, Apache, MS SQL Server, and Windchill application layers.
• Proficiency using SCAP Compliance Checker and STIG Viewer for vulnerability remediation.
• Candidates must possess a current Security+ certification or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment to meet DoD 8570/8140 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windchill system administration support to the Army and the UAH RENEGADE Team.
• Provide security and compliance management to the Windchill system team.
• Mentor more junior level staff regarding system admin and STIG compliance.
