Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Database Administrator to drive the transition from TeamCenter to PTC WindChill. You will work with the PLM support staff from requirements through implementation and beyond.

This role emphasizes data transfer between systems, end-user support, training, and onboarding into the new PLM environment, with opportunities to support the Chief Engineer’s office Labwide Toolkit.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and operating a relational database system.
• Experience with PLM suites back end and data transfer.
• Ability to design, configure, and implement PLM/workflow environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and user support skills.
• Experience with security, backups, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support RDBMS or PLM back end.
• Perform resource and usage management (tuning).
• Manage backup and recovery services.
• Coordinate usage and security with vendors.
• Interface with users and support onboarding into new system.
• Document system setup and procedures.
• Stay current with technology trends.
• Work on data transfers between TeamCenter and WindChill.
