SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory seeks a Database Administrator to implement and support the transition from TeamCenter to PTC WindChill. You will work with PLM support staff from requirements through implementation and focus on data transfer and end-user support.
As part of the Chief Engineer’s office, you will maintain RDBMS systems, perform performance tuning, backup/recovery, and documentation, while serving as the main contact for training and onboarding to the new system.
The Chief Engineer’s Office at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a talented Database Administrator to implement and support SLAC’s transition from TeamCenter to PTC WindChill. This role will work with the existing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) support staff with a specific focus on PTC workflow creation from requirements through final implementation. Once the system is configured and workflows are implemented, this role will focus on data transfer between the two systems as well as end-user support as SLAC transitions. Longer term, this role will serve as the first point of contact for user support, training, and onboarding into the new system. Additional tasks related to the support of the full Chief Engineer’s office Labwide Toolkit will also be assigned as needed.
As a database administrator, you will be part of the Chief Engineer’s office supporting the suite of tools managed through this office with a focus on our adoption of the PTC suite of software.
