Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Wind Technician at various levels to support wind turbine maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. The role requires safety-first work, the ability to shadow experienced staff, and documentation of all activities using our reporting tools.

As you progress from Trainee through Level III, you will troubleshoot, read schematics, and lead small crews while expanding technical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or obtainable within the first 6 months of employment.
• Ability to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work at height safely.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude; no prior electrical experience required.
• Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; travel as needed.
• Willingness to work on-call including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment under direct supervision.
• Shadow and assist technicians in wind turbine maintenance (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical).
• Document all work, parts used, and time spent using service reporting procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of SCADA and electrical systems.
• Operate and maintain a service vehicle; support site operations as directed.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and progress with training program milestones.
