WHO WE ARE

We seek dedicated technicians passionate about preserving our planet through renewable wind energy. As a Vestas technician, you’ll apply your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills to ensure safety and operational excellence.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN

This advanced-level role requires proficiency, equipment knowledge, and self-direction to perform maintenance on wind turbines with minimal supervision. You’ll adapt procedures, develop action plans, and provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.

Expect to work at heights up to 250 feet or in confined spaces, often outdoors in varying weather conditions. Climbing, carrying tools, and moving parts are part of your daily tasks.

Teamwork, professionalism, safety, and attention to detail are core to our culture. We encourage suggestions to improve safety and quality.

MORE ABOUT YOU

• Three-year technical associate degree or equivalent, with at least one year of wind industry experience
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a passport
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs
• Experience with complex power tools, hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, diagnostic tools, and advanced meter functions
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, energy isolation, and risk mitigation
• Basic computer skills, internet navigation, and data interpretation
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics for procedures and validation
